Hi there,
However, through my Nan I have traced back to one William Coggan who appears to have moved into the area from Lincoln between 1560/83.
Would be interesting to get in touch with you as I’ve also been looking at my family tree. I’m a history teacher.

What do you know about William Coggan?
Hi there,
I’ve only just started researching this branch of my family, how exciting.

Hello Rob
We have just carried out renovation work at our property address of 19 Brewery Road, Crowle and after digging up a concrete base have uncovered lots of broken grave stones, one being of the name of Pettinger with a date of 1833. If you need further detail please contact either Sharon on 077194 74731 or Darren 07973 131971. We are currently seeking a respectful way of removing the headstones.
Thanks
Darren & Sharon
Rob,
Apologies for the delay in approving the posting of your comment.
A good site to look for ancestors in the Isle of Axholme is Red1st.com (http://www.red1st.com/axholme/index.php)
You may find some interesting pointers there. As Jane has already mentioned East Lound is a small hamlet to the south east of Haxey.
Hi Rob
Not my family but I do recognise a few of those names from my childhood – fellow pupils from Owston Ferry area: Coggon, Pettinger
East Lound is a village to the south (ish) of O Ferry. Actually I do have a few Capes in my family – but they are from a bit further south in lincolnshire – Sarah Capes for example.
Good luck
Jane
