Brilliant was researching my Grandma Nellie Couch. She was a domestic at the Railway hotel low gate Snaith an Cowick 1901 census. To John Crawley publican. My Dad Fred Couch said worked at the George & Dragon in the same capacity. John Crawley was publican from 1903 – 1918 upon his death. His Wife Sarah and son Strickson James, who died in 1912 at 12 years old, I was always puzzled by my Uncle Jim’s name of Strickson James now I know why. Thank you has solved a puzzle!
