Victor in The Home Guard during WWII Victor was headmaster of the school on Church Street from 1941 to its closure in the 1960’s. He was Born in Grimsby in 1907 and died in Crowle in 1973. His wife was Mary Brooks They lived at Oswald House on Church Street Photo used with permission.

The log book includes the period of the Second World War. Some of the evacuees based in Crowle were placed in this school but most seemed to have been put into the school on Fieldside. Link to Album on Flickr.
This is the personal coat of arms of the Most. Rev. Christopher Wordsworth, Bishop of Lincoln (1869-1885). The shield contains the official crest of the Diocese of Lincoln (on the left) and the personal arms of the bishop on the right side.
