Yes the old lady with the wooden shop was called wicks she had a daughter who used to help her, as for me living in the old cottages we did untill around1952 then moved to 95 windsor road, I can not recall any Grundys living in the airy houses, i have some photos of windsor road in the 1950s

| Hi Woy, I don't recall you living in the cottages onlly the new houses nearby. We lived in the so called Airy houses just down the road towards Haxes shop. Do you recall the little wooden shop in the front garden of the first Airy house. A old lady had it, I don't recall her name. Can you remember it. |

Hi my memeory tells me that the old cottages
you are on about were demolished in the eary 1950s the only familys i remember that lived on these cottages before they were demolished are Harrison - Parkin (my family)
Tunes - Cooks and up Cooks yard there were two there cottages old mrs Cook lived on the firstone and Collinsons next door I can not remember a Grundy family living in any of the cottages.

| Hi Woy, Good to hear from you. I remember well the Slieght family. Tom Slieght had a wee garage just off the High Street, Iused to Live near them but on the other side of the road. Same side as the Cooks who lived in them old cottages. Hope this as jogged your memory. Let me know if it as. Happy days!!!! |
