The stone-laying ceremony in connection with the new Wesleyan Church, at Crowle, in course erection near the site from which the old building has been removed, took place yesterday. Stones were laid Messrs. R. W. Foster, T. S. Rurkill, T. Spilman, J. W. Wilson, E. A. Chapman, W. Maw, R. J- T Brunyee, J. Navlor, Wain, man, Mrs. Leggott. Mrs. Wall, Miss- Foster, Mr. ,C. Wilson, Mr. J. Stephenson, Mr. A. Sharp, Mr. Watson, Mr. A. Spilman. Mr. J. W..-Medworth, Mr. G. W. Mason, Mr. W Wilson, Mr. J. Thompson, Mr. _ Shillito, Mr. owes, Mr. H. Mason, Miss L. Wilson, Miss A. Moore, Miss A. Wilson, Mrs. A. Proctor Mr. A Key. Mr. Drinka!l, Mr. Wainman, Mr T. .T. Blavdes. Mr. Hurst. Mr. ,T. Mr. T B. Chapman, Mr. W. Bush. Mr. Hollidav, Mr. D. Croft. Mr. W. The Rev John Pickup addressed the gathering, and the ceremony was followed public tea the Council Schools, and a meeting at the Primitive Methodist Chapel, where Alderman Stephenson, J. P., Althorpe presided. A grant promised from the Century Fund, providing half the cost the scheme is raised the church workers within 12 months o the opening The cost of the new chapel is estimated £2.700. The amount raised, previous to the commencement of building operations was £900, and the estimated result yesterday’s effort is £550, that the grant is already ensured^
